I am one of three sisters who, with our mothers support and guidance, have an insatiable love for anything crafty. In 2006, my niece, McKenna was born with a cleft lip and palette and within her first few years of life had over eight surgeries. My sisters, mother and I put our talents to good use and began creating items to sell at local craft fairs to help with the mounting medical expenses. My older sister, Danielle, began making jewelry and created her own line Danielle Fenning Designs which features beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Tracy, McKenna's mother, made adorable hair accessories. Our mother, Sandy, made the most amazing crocheted hats and scarfs that everyone adored. And I found a passion for sewing and appliqueing children's clothing. Soon we were able to pay off over $6,000 in medical bills and set aside funds for any upcoming procedures she may have.
Though I had been crafting and sewing most of my life, this new passion for sewing gave me the opportunity to stay home with my own two children and continue doing what I loved as an at-home business. And here we are nine years later and my little at-home business is still going strong. I am the proud mother of two children -- Zoey, twelve, and Sam, nine. I take pride in every item I make and I never turn down a challenge for a new project. I love working with clients to make their special occasion even more unique by making one-of-a-kind personalized items to fit their exact needs. I love what I do and I can't thank my husband, Adam, enough for making it possible for me to follow my heart and create beautiful things for the people I love.
